^ TOP Q. How many photos do I get?
This will depend on the assignment and your requirements. ^ TOP VideoQ. How do I go about getting my production?
Initial Consultation:
This is always the first step. We need to establish what type of video you have in mind and discuss any existing ideas you may already have that will affect the outcome of the production. Don’t worry! You don’t need to be a script writer or have a detailed plan of what you want to achieve. We can advise and take you through the process and help you get to where you want to go!
Pre-Production:
At this stage we can start to formulate ideas and discuss what works and what doesn’t. You will always have control on how the production will look, and what it is saying to its audience.
We can decide what will be needed to achieve our goal, be it voice over’s, actors etc. I have access to several agencies from where we can pull in extra resources if required.
Permission for use of the location(s) for shooting will be sought and agreed.
From here a script will be put together, agreed and a shooting schedule finalised.
Production:
Lights – Camera – Action! This is the first day of the shoot.
It is always a good idea to make sure that staff, actors or the people involved or affected, are aware of the shooting schedule and that proper safety guidelines have been followed and are in place.
JRP will always follow the legal codes of practice.
Post-Production
This is where the on-screen magic comes to life! Editing together all of the material shot over the production period and pulling together graphics and voice-overs to help tell your story.
You will be presented with an Offline copy (a rough cut of the production) for you to make any adjustments and to see how the production is coming together. Once this offline edit is agreed, the final production can then be put together.
